Flight Options Recalls Pilots to Meet Growing Demand
CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flight Options, LLC, a pioneer in private jet travel, announced today that it was recalling eight furloughed pilots. The recall reflects growing demand for Flight Options’ private aviation services, which offer travelers affordable, convenient access to one of the largest and safest private jet fleets in the industry.
“Our recall of these experienced, highly trained pilots comes as we expand our fleet and increase capacity for our popular fractional ownership, membership and jet card programs.”
“We are extremely pleased to be able to announce the recall of eight veteran Flight Options pilots. Their return to our team reflects our confidence in the Company’s continued growth, as well as the strong partnership we have forged with our pilots,” said Michael J. Silvestro, Flight Options Chief Executive Officer. “Our recall of these experienced, highly trained pilots comes as we expand our fleet and increase capacity for our popular fractional ownership, membership and jet card programs.”
The eight recalled pilots each have an average eight years of prior service with Flight Options and 10,000 cumulative hours of flight experience. Reflecting the recall, Flight Options now employs 680 people, including 311 pilots.
The pilot recall follows other steps Flight Options is taking to meet rising demand, including continued expansion of its revolutionary Embraer Phenom 300, 400XT and Citation X fractional ownership programs, as well as new investments to improve the efficiency, speed and range of its private jet fleet.
