Gatwick Express Launches New Website
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gatwick Express is re-launching its website www.gatwickexpress.com making it easier for travellers to book, save money and plan a journey.
“The new website provides more up to date information, has the ability to be more dynamic and has better links to social networks. The extra functionality makes it more interactive and customer friendly with the translated content reaffirming our position as a leading international brand.”
Using leading technology to create convenient options for getting Gatwick Express tickets, the new website answers the customers' needs quickly and simply.
The e-ticket option allows customers to print their Gatwick Express ticket at home (up to 2300hrs the day before travel) so they can walk straight onto the train where the onboard staff will scan the barcode on their ticket.
There is also an m-ticketing facility which sends the ticket directly to the passenger's mobile phone (again up to 2300hrs the day before travel). With this paperless option the onboard staff simply scan the barcode on the mobile.
The third choice is to collect a Gatwick Express ticket from a ticket machine on the platform and this can be done on the day of travel, although it is recommended that there is a minimum of two hours between booking and collection.
Gatwickexpress.com also incorporates new ticket options such as Anytime Day Returns and group tickets including 4-for-2 and 3-for-2 plus a 5-for-3 option for ease, and gives travellers the option to purchase a season ticket online between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport. As well as this, it has 2-for-1 promotions on popular London tourist attractions.
The new site also has real time Gatwick Airport flight arrivals and departures information and more detailed airport terminal data helping customers to plan onward travel. Travellers can now also use a UK Railcard.
The new online facility has a built in translation tool for French, Italian, German and Spanish speaking travellers, the most commonly spoken languages for foreigners arriving into Gatwick Airport, with Gatwick Express onboard staff, welcome hosts and ticket office personnel providing a multi-lingual service.
David Metherell, marketing manager for Gatwick Express, said: “The new website provides more up to date information, has the ability to be more dynamic and has better links to social networks. The extra functionality makes it more interactive and customer friendly with the translated content reaffirming our position as a leading international brand.”
The Gatwick Express website offers an ongoing 10% discount, so it is always cheaper to buy online at www.gatwickexpress.com
