IFE Services to Supply RwandAir With In-Flight Entertainment

KNUTSFORD, England, March 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading in-flight entertainment specialist, IFE Services, has been selected by RwandAir to meet all of its onboard entertainment requirements.

The agreement covers the provision of Hollywood and Classic movies, popular TV shows, audio channels and a CD library. The content will be shown on the African airline's Boeing 737-800 fleet running Panasonic's eFX audio and visual on demand (AVOD) system.

RwandAir CEO, John Mirenge, said in a statement: "For the very first time RwandAir will be purchasing two brand new aircraft. The national carrier is expected to take delivery of the two Boeing 737-800s in July and September 2011 respectively. These aircraft will be the first on the African continent to incorporate the "Sky Interior" concept adopted from the Boeing 787 design.
