Jet Propulsion Labs Executive James Rinaldi to Speak at University of Redlands School of Business Burbank Campus
REDLANDS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Burbank campus of the University of Redlands School of Business is pleased to welcome James Rinaldi, the Chief Information Officer for Jet Propulsion Laboratories, who will discuss career management in his speech “Managing Careers: Yours and Others.” The talk will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 6 p.m. at the School of Business site located at 333 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Suite 630, in Burbank.
Rinaldi has worked in information systems in industry and government for more than 25 years.
He served as chief information officer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he was responsible for the planning, development and delivery of information systems across the FDA. Prior to that, he was the chief of information technology services and chief of business systems integration at the IRS.
At the Marriott Corporation where he worked for 16 years, Rinaldi was responsible for designing, building and operating Marriott International’s technology infrastructure, consisting of computer hardware, software and global networking for over 2,000 locations.
Rinaldi is a recipient of the Federal 100 award, an award given to the top executives from government, industry and academia who had the greatest influence on the government information systems community in 2010.
His talk at the School of Business Burbank campus will investigate:
- Managing your career and direct reports
- Demonstrating the qualities of an effective leader
- Avoiding common pitfalls in managing your career
- Evaluating technology’s influence on business and trends
