Sentient Jet Cards to Sponsor 2011 Tavistock Cup
WEYMOUTH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sentient Jet, one of the leading private aviation companies in the U.S., announced today it will sponsor the 2011 Tavistock Cup, a team golf event featuring professional golfers from around the world. As part of the sponsorship, Sentient Jet Cards will host a luxury lounge for spectators at its sponsored par-3 hole and award exceptional prizes to Tavistock Cup competitors.
“Sentient is thrilled to be part of The Tavistock Cup as it is truly a unique and exciting competition”
The eighth annual Tavistock Cup, which takes place March 14 and 15 at Isleworth Golf & Country Club, is an officially sanctioned PGA TOUR® event showcasing the ultimate golf competition between four top clubs – Albany, Isleworth, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club and Queenwood Golf Club.
Each club will be represented by a team of six golf professional members, bringing a new level of competition to the interclub matches where contestants play for prize money, team hole-in-one prizes and the title of World Golf and Country Club Champion. Tavistock Cup’s gallery will once again be by invitation only, creating one of the most exclusive and intimate events in all of golf.
“Sentient is thrilled to be part of The Tavistock Cup as it is truly a unique and exciting competition,” said Kevin Vaughan, President of Sentient Jet Cards. “As the Official Private Jet Partner of the PGA TOUR, the Tavistock Cup represents another perfect opportunity for us to continue our long history of supporting the sport of golf and professional golfers. We look forward to adding a bit of excitement by offering participants the opportunity to win a Sentient Jet Card.”
Sentient will sponsor the competition at the par-3 2nd hole. Any golfer that records a hole-in-one will earn a $25,000 Sentient Jet Card for their entire team. In addition, Sentient will award a $20,000 Sentient Jet Card to the individual winner of the “closest to the pin” contest over the two-day competition.
Sentient’s unique Jet Card programs offer guaranteed availability and one-way pricing combined with exceptional service, quality and safety. Sentient requires no capital investment and no long-term contracts while protecting clients from the risk of depreciating assets. With value-oriented rates well below other national competitors, Sentient Jet Cards are the smartest way to fly privately.
The Tavistock Cup is more than just a golf tournament. Over the past seven years, more than $5.5 million has been donated to local, national and international charities, including The First Tee. The two-day tournament will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel in the U.S., Canada and Japan and airs on international affiliates throughout the United Kingdom, Latin America and South Africa.
