The RTC Group Launches Timely Military Conference: MILESTONE
Dépèche transmise le 17 mars 2011 par Business Wire
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The RTC Group, the premier event production and marketing company serving the OEM electronics industry, is set to launch a three-city tour with a new military electronics design conference coined MILESTONE, starting in June 2011.
“Military spending on things large and small can and should expect closer, harsher scrutiny…”
With this recent declaration from Defense Secretary Robert Gates:
“Military spending on things large and small can and should expect closer, harsher scrutiny…”, RTC’s President and CEO, John Reardon states, “as the DoD continues to scrutinize military programs for efficiency and effectiveness into the foreseeable future, it is even more important for technology providers to supply effective, deployable and redundant technology solutions for use in military programs. We see MILESTONE as a valuable resource to connect suppliers of military computing solutions to engineering teams involved in developing systems for the defense industry”.
Media Sponsor and also official ‘host’ of the new event is COTS Journal, the leading technology publication for military electronic design, brings a team to bear with a wealth of experience. Publisher Pete Yeatman, and Editor-in-Chief Jeff Child, have pivotal roles in the MILESTONE conference program and will also serve as on-site hosts.
“I hear it all the time from decision makers in the DoD and in the defense industry at large: There are just not enough opportunities for military system developers to interact face to face with suppliers that provide critical embedded electronics and computing technologies,” says COTS Journal’s Jeff Child.
“And as pressure mounts to stay on-time and on-budget with high technology readiness level (TRL) system designs, military system design teams are more hungry than ever for advanced, integrated solutions—including everything from boards to embedded software to box-level integrated systems. Our MILESTONE shows provide ideal venues to showcase just such products along with face to face information sharing. That, combined with conference sessions that include presentations from suppliers on technology trends and design issues, are what make MILESTONE a not-to-be-missed event.”
MILESTONE is a single-day conference focused on the challenges and solutions critical to mission success for the most rugged and decisive computing environments. Exhibitors include: ADLINK, Advanced Digital Logic, Diversified Technologies, GrammaTech, and Themis; a full roster will be announced shortly.
- Launching June 21st in Baltimore, it is aligned to access the Beltway technology corridor, Department of Defense, countless military installations and key defense contractors.
- Following on the 23rd, the event will be held in Nashua, NH – central to several prime contractors that call Massachusetts and New Hampshire home.
- In mid-November, MILESTONE will take place in the Los Angeles area.
