UPS Freight Names 2011-2012 All-Star Road Team
RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UPS Freight, the heavy freight arm of UPS (NYSE: UPS), today named its 2011-2012 All-Star Road Team, a squad of 14 city and road drivers with a combined 300 years of experience and more than 17 million accident-free miles behind the wheel.
“We welcome them to our road team as representatives of UPS Freight and leaders of the more than 8,400 UPS Freight drivers dedicated to the safe delivery of our customers’ products.”
In addition to serving as certified trainers and sharing their expertise with other company drivers, the All-Star Road Team members will serve as company ambassadors for the next two years, speaking on safety issues at schools, statehouses and with community groups.
