AECOM awarded task order to support U.S. forces in Afghanistan worth up to US$15 million

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has won a Multiple Award Task Order Contract from the U.S. Army for Worldwide Environmental Remediation Services (WERS) to support U.S. forces in Afghanistan. The task order has a potential value of up to US$15 million, if all option years are exercised by the client.

The WERS task order was awarded under AECOM’s indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntsville, Ala., to provide environmental management support to the U.S. Department of Defense. Under this task order, the company will provide environmental assistance, environmental engineering support, environmental compliance inspections and assessments of storage, transportation and disposal systems, as well as necessary activities to maintain environmental expertise, and technical assistance for the Regional Commands within Afghanistan.

The period of performance is one base year and two one year option periods.
