Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Recognizes Strategic Suppliers
PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading global provider of air cargo assets and outsourced aircraft operating services and solutions, today announced the recipients of its first annual Strategic Supplier Awards.

The awards, presented to the winners at a dinner ceremony in Greenwich, Conn., recognize excellence in service and performance among the company’s global and small-business suppliers.

The Atlas Air Strategic Supplier Awards were presented to seven companies in six categories:
- The 2011 Outstanding Achievement Award was awarded to KLM Engineering & Maintenance for its 18-year relationship in which it has provided superior maintenance and engineering services.
- The 2011 President’s Award went to DHL Express for consistently exceptional service and outstanding on-time delivery in time-definite freight services for the shipping of aircraft material, parts, and components.
- Two companies received the 2011 Service Quality and Value Award. Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. (EGAT) was recognized for outstanding quality and on-time performance for heavy aircraft maintenance checks that were either on time or early. The other award went to AACT in recognition of excellent performance and 100 percent reliability for services at its air-cargo terminal at Incheon International Airport, South Korea.
- The 2011 Innovation, Cost and Risk Management Award is in recognition of a supplier that applies innovative ways to reduce cost and risk while maintaining quality. The winner, MTU Maintenance Hannover, provided the company with better-than-industry average on-wing time for aircraft engines.
- The 2011 Safety & Compliance Award went to Aircraft Services International Group (ASIG) for superior standards compliance and safety performance.
- The 2011 Small Business Award was awarded to Xand Corporation for superior service in support of the company’s growing needs in information technology.
