Dépèche transmise le 12 avril 2011 par Business Wire
VICTORIA, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carmanah Technologies (TSX: CMH) (Pink Sheets: CMHXF) in partnership with ADB Airfield Solutions announce the release of the solar-powered Helipad Kit; the first comprehensive and stand-alone wireless helipad light and navigational aid system. The Helipad Kit features ADB wireless solar engine power systems, visual navigation aids and Carmanah wireless solar-powered airfield lighting technology. Wireless, completely stand-alone and self-contained, as well as configurable, the Helipad Kit is the ideal total helipad safety improvement system for remote locations where grid power is difficult or impossible to access. The Helipad Kit is available as a complete system of lighting and navigation aid products or configurable to a helipad’s unique mission requirements.
“The Helipad Kit is an example of the combined strength of the Carmanah and ADB partnership. By joining solar and AC-powered product portfolios as well as decades of expertise in developing and delivering airfield lighting systems, Carmanah and ADB are responding to opportunities that demand a complete solution.”
The Carmanah/ADB Helipad Kit is a complete solar helipad lighting and visual navigational aid solution for permanent and portable helipad touch down and lift off zones. For expedited helipads, the portability and ease of installation of the Helipad Kit is provided by the solar-powered components that install within minutes: eliminating the need for trenching, cabling or accessing external power. This flexibility to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations marks the Helipad Kit ideal for commercial airports, armed forces, emergency medical services, fire departments, hospitals and coast guards applications. The Carmanah/ADB Helipad Kit consists of everything needed to improve the safety and visibility of virtually any size of ground, rooftop, offshore or remote helipad, including: wireless solar-powered perimeter lights, approach lights, ID and obstruction beacons, flood lights, windcone, directional signs, wireless handheld controllers and all of the mounting and deploying hardware required therein.
Carmanah Technologies Corporation and ADB Airfield Solutions entered into a partnership agreement in 2010 to combine strengths and expertise in both solar power systems and aviation lighting and visual navigation aid technologies. Together, Carmanah/ADB deliver total airfield and helipad solutions, a direct example of which being the new Carmanah/ADB solar-powered Helipad Kit. Carmanah CEO Ted Lattimore agrees.
The Carmanah/ADB solar-powered Helipad Kit is being launched for the first time at the Latin American Aero & Defense (LAAD) International Exhibition & Conference on Aerospace & Defense Technology in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on April 12th, 2011.
