FONTANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--United Launch Alliance LLC awarded AR Tech, a subsidiary of A&R Tarpaulins Inc., its 2010 Small Business Recognition Award. The space launch company chose AR Tech from among many of its worldwide suppliers of products and services.
“This award means so much to us”
“AR Tech has demonstrated excellence in providing high tech blankets that protect our launch vehicles,” stated J. Michael Thomas, ULA Vice President, Subcontract Management and Procurement in a letter to AR Tech. “We value the strong partnership between ULA and AR Tech.”
ULA will present AR Tech with the honor during an award ceremony April 21.
“This is quite an honor,” said Bud Weisbart, A&R Tarpaulins vice president. “United Launch is our largest customer and we are so proud of this award because it recognizes A&R’s commitment to excellence and our team, whom I am so grateful for; without them, A&R is nothing.”
Founded in 1976, the Fontana-based company has provided United Launch Alliance with fabric aerospace products since ULA’s inception over four years ago. ULA provides all U.S. government aerospace launches.
“This award means so much to us,” said Carmen Weisbart, A&R Tarpaulins president. “I am so proud of our team who made this possible.”
