Wind River Presents Premier Conference Series for Safe and Secure Intelligent Systems
ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wind River, a world leader in embedded and mobile software, has launched its aerospace and defense regional conference series, Advancements for 21st Century Warfare: Safe and Secure Intelligent Systems. The conference series will showcase the latest in safety and security solutions for aerospace and defense suppliers, with keynotes from industry experts, as well as demonstrations of leading-edge safe and secure platforms. The series kicks off April 21 in Dallas, Texas, with additional dates and cities through the coming months.

Conference keynotes include sessions from world-class experts in robotics evolution and cyber security. Dr. Peter W. Singer, author and senior fellow and director at the Brookings Institution, will present the keynote session “Wired for War: Understanding the Challenges of the Robotic Evolution.” In addition, cyber security and threat intelligence leaders from McAfee Inc. will deliver the keynote “Innovations in Cyber Security to Address 21st Century Challenges.”

The Wind River aerospace and defense conference series includes parallel education tracks covering the latest safety and security certification standards. The event also includes demonstrations of leading-edge safe and secure platforms from partner technology companies that expand the COTS capabilities of Wind River platform solutions.

* Track 1: Safety-Critical Certification: Standards Update and Architecture Innovations – including updates regarding DO-178C and safety cases for certification |
* Track 2: Innovative Security Solutions to Meet Medium and High Assurance – including a review of the latest security features in new silicon technology and embedded solutions |
By engaging with top industry experts, attendees will better understand the changing landscape for next-generation intelligent platforms based upon multi-core silicon. The conference provides the opportunity to learn more about advanced architectures for certified systems that are efficiently and economically expandable to consolidated multi-OS and multi-core platforms.
