Free Virtual Attendance is Now Open for the Heartland GreenUp Symposium & Expo
DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) is thrilled to announce free, virtual participation, offered to the first 200 registrants, for the second annual Heartland GreenUp Symposium & Expo. This conference will help on June 2 and is focused on connecting executives, technologists, entrepreneurs and thought-leaders from around the world with new clean technologies that will harness business growth while lessening effects on the environment.
Virtual presence can be experienced via a webinar or a simulated design replicating the real-life event. This interactive experience offers a personalized avatar, encouraging participants to move from classroom to classroom and view speakers via a computer-generated display. Also, virtual attendees will be able to contribute questions during the live event.
The Master of Ceremonies will be Tim Dwight, former University of Iowa football star and owner of iPower, a solar energy company. Harris M. Warsaw, vice president of General Business in North America – IBM is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech. Also keynoting the event will be Andrew Winston, founder, Winston Eco-Strategies, and author of “Green Recovery”, a guide to using environmental thinking to thrive during an economic downturn.
There will be over twenty qualified experts leading the 12 speaking sessions. The topics will range from Green Basics, how to look for opportunities, to Green IT 2.0, which will investigate the latest green information technologies. During the Resources track, panels will address funding assistance for entrepreneurs. There will also be a Regional Showcase highlighting innovators from across the Midwest. A Best in Class track will allow industry members to share their own green stories. The Building and Planning for Sustainability track will explore technology’s future impact on society in 2020.
