Nortech Systems Names John T. Shelander Senior Business Development Manager of Aerospace Systems Operations
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nortech Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: NSYS), a leading provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS), has named John T. Shelander as senior business development manager of its Aerospace Systems operations in Blue Earth, Minn.

Shelander’s business development experience includes his most recent sales and marketing position with Logix Engineering, St. Paul, Minn. Logix specializes in electromechanical devices and assemblies for aerospace, medical and semiconductor industries. Shelander has also held senior sales and marketing roles with Advantek Inc. and Agere Systems. Previously, his professional career included 16 years with Lockheed Martin Corp. in St. Paul, Minn., where he held a variety of positions in business development, program management, finance, contracts and engineering. As a lead engineer at Lockheed, Shelander was responsible for electrical/mechanical design on computers and computer peripherals for strategic defense programs.
Shelander earned a master’s degree in business administration-marketing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
The Aerospace Systems operation specializes in custom-designed wire harnesses and cable assemblies, including rugged high-speed data communications cables, flat molded, fiber optics and higher-level builds for the defense industry and other demanding applications. Products are engineered to withstand severe environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, salt spray, water immersion, chemical and abrasion resistance, and electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
