Dépèche transmise le 11 mai 2011 par PRNewswire
NEW YORK, May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vayant, the next-gen airfare pricing engine, today announced the appointment of Brannon Winn as its Chief Commercial Officer. A proven leader with nearly 15 years of successful revenue generation experience, Winn is assuming the position effective immediately as part of the growth plan put in place by recently appointed CEO Brian Clark.
Winn's expertise is in building commercial teams and infrastructure within the travel space, resulting in significant revenue generation and customer acquisition. He has proven this three times throughout his career within an incubation unit of a GDS, a corporate online booking service, and in the airline hosting technologies sector. Winn's experience spans multiple geographies with a strong influence across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
"We are at a unique point in travel distribution, where consumers are decidedly demanding more flexible and customized travel search options through an increasing number of channels," said Winn. "Vayant's innovative solutions position itself well as the premium travel search provider to airlines, meta search companies, OTAs, and consolidators who are looking for the game changing advantage."
Prior to joining Vayant, Winn was promoted in 2009 to Head of Global Sales Operations at Travelport, where he successfully implemented a sales methodology, a business intelligence infrastructure, and a sales communications strategy across the global sales force of 500. Prior to Travelport's acquisition of Worldspan, Winn was the Director of Airline Distribution & IT Services responsible for managing all commercial relationships with over 200 airlines in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia representing booking fee and direct IT services revenues of over $200M annually. In 2005, Winn was named in the "Top 10 Executives To Watch" by Business Travel World magazine after driving triple digit growth for GetThere in EMEA. Winn began his career with Sabre where he held roles of increasing responsibility in finance, sales operations, emerging business, and management consulting.
"As Vayant's new CCO, Brannon brings the energy and experience of building commercial teams focused on driving value to the customer. He has repeatedly proven his ability to sustain growth by exceeding customers' goals," said Brian Clark, Vayant's CEO. "Myself and our Investors are extremely excited that Brannon has chosen to join us. His appointment is a key element to our plans going forward."
