ARINC Partners with TTI Technologies to Provide Real-time Flight Information Displays for Hotel Guests
ANNAPOLIS, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARINC Incorporated today announced a partnership with TTI Technologies International, a leading provider of Hotel Check-In Scanning Solutions, Business Centers, and Concierge Services, to introduce the ARINC flight information display system microFIDSTM to the hospitality industry.
“Anyone who has experienced a flight delay and wished they were back in the comfort of their hotel can appreciate the value of microFIDS”
ARINC’s microFIDS delivers up-to-the-minute airport flight information to hotels in a low-cost display format that can easily be placed in hotel business centers, at check-in counters and in other common areas. Under the new partnership, TTI Technologies will resell the ARINC systems to hotel customers on a simple subscription basis that includes turnkey support through ARINC’s Service Desk.
TTI said agreements are already in place to deploy the microFIDS solution at Helmsley Park Lane Hotel, the New York Marriott East Side, and other institutions known for premium guest-centric services and technology leadership.
“Anyone who has experienced a flight delay and wished they were back in the comfort of their hotel can appreciate the value of microFIDS,” says Steve Blidner, President of TTI. “This partnership and technology are a huge benefit for hotel guests, will enhance revenue for hotels, and do not require any special IT resources or expertise from the hotel staff. That’s a fantastic combination for our customers and their guests.”
For hotels, the microFIDS displays can be a helpful service to guests when flights are cancelled or delayed, allowing them to plan their time more efficiently. The system offers hotels robust and customizable content options, and can easily be updated to include paid third-party ads or in-house promotions for food, beverage or spa services. The wireless microFIDS system comes in a range of configurations and it is simple to deploy in a variety of hotel locations.
“This technology gives hotel customers quick and easy access to flight information that can affect their travel plans,” says Christopher Forrest, Managing Director at ARINC Managed Services. “And flight displays are really second nature to ARINC—we’ve been managing complex passenger processing systems in the world’s busiest airports for decades. We believe that hotels will benefit from our experience as well as from TTI’s trusted reputation and solid relationships in the industry.”
