IFS Applications Software Number One in Enterprise Asset Management for Aerospace and Defense
ITASCA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IFS AB, the global enterprise applications company, has been identified as the number one vendor globally in enterprise asset management (EAM) software for the aerospace and defense industry by ARC Advisory Group, the leading information technology research and advisory firm for industry and infrastructure.
“In aerospace and defense, superb reliability is mission critical due to the associated human lives, expensive capital assets, and brand protection. Effective maintenance planning, execution and logistics are absolutely essential”
ARC Advisory Group, in its new publication “Enterprise Asset Management and Field Service Management, Five Year Market Analysis and Technology Forecast through 2015,” indicates that IFS Applications holds a dominant market share position in aerospace and defense globally. IFS Applications EAM suite is used not only by manufacturers and contractors serving the industry, but by military services, ministries of defense and aerospace authorities worldwide.
“In aerospace and defense, superb reliability is mission critical due to the associated human lives, expensive capital assets, and brand protection. Effective maintenance planning, execution and logistics are absolutely essential,” ARC Advisory Group Research Director Ralph Rio said. “Of course, everyone knows this, which has evolved into demanding government regulations and reporting for both airlines and the associated, extensive ecosystem of contractors. To achieve superb reliability and conform to regulations, A&D requires a modern EAM system.”
“Particularly in times of heavy and prolonged engagements in harsh climates, ensuring that military hardware is operational and serviceable is a more critical and demanding task than ever before,” IFS North America Vice President for Aerospace and Defense Kevin Deal said. “IFS Applications is designed not only for the military services that own high-value and complex vehicles and equipment, but for the contractors and manufacturers who oftentimes fulfill service contracts on equipment through performance-based logistics (PBL) contracts. We are proud of the role IFS plays in supporting military organizations around the globe.”
