Interface Displays & Controls Issued National Stock Number (NSN) 5895-01-593-8172 for Their Data Entry Display
OCEANSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Interface Displays & Controls, Inc. (Interface), a veteran-owned small business, has been issued NSN 5895-01-593-8172 for their Data Entry Display (DED).
“The low power feature of our DED translates into a unit that is cool to the touch while the use of LED technology provides higher reliability at a more competitive price”
The DED is a message center for avionic communications, providing warning and annunciator functions. The display units are compatible with Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS) and accept Manchester II encoded data. Interface’s DED is currently used on the US Air Force's F-16 aircraft.
“The low power feature of our DED translates into a unit that is cool to the touch while the use of LED technology provides higher reliability at a more competitive price,” said Will Tyson, F-16 DED Program Manager.
About National Stock Number (NSN)
A National Stock Number (NSN), as it is known in the US, or a NATO Stock Number, is a 13-digit numeric code identifying all the “standardized material items of supply” as they have been recognized by all NATO countries including the U.S. Department of Defense. An item having an NSN is said to be “stock-listed,” which expedites the purchase process.
