Marotta Controls Showcases Motion and Flow Control Systems at the Paris Air Show
MONTVILLE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Marotta Controls, a leader in motion and flow controls, will present a wide range of mission-critical airborne systems, space flight components and capabilities at the 49th International Paris Air Show hosted June 20-26 in Le Bourget, France.
“The systems on display at the Paris Air Show have proven performance in extreme environments”
Marotta Controls will showcase its M-PACT family of reusable, cost-effective pneumatic solutions designed to boost the efficiency of critical military aircraft and weapon systems while reducing maintenance and logistics costs. Also on display will be the M-CONTROL suite of electronic control systems, which have been chosen by international customers for their superior performance ability in extreme military environments.
Marotta Controls’ airborne systems, components and electronic controls have been qualified for a variety of platforms including the F/A-18 Hornet, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, P-8A Poseidon, Small Diameter Bomb and chosen for the new Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM).
This year Marotta Controls is also highlighting its world-class space-flight qualified components for pressure regulation and flow control. These components have been supporting manned and unmanned spaceflight for more than 65 years, and support a wide range of programs including Falcon 1, Falcon 9, H2A, H2B, Delta II, Delta IV, ST-5, GOCE, Space Shuttle and the International Space Station.
“The systems on display at the Paris Air Show have proven performance in extreme environments,” said Michael J. Leahan, vice president and chief sales officer of Marotta Controls. “Our high-pressure pneumatic systems are qualified for combat environments, and our space-flight qualified components have been supporting manned and unmanned space flight for more than 65 years. We invite you to visit our stand at the Paris Air Show, Hall 3, Stand AB158, and hope you can take some time to talk to us about your needs and requirements for proven, reliable, state-of-the-art motion and flow control technologies.”
On Display at the Paris Air Show
Marotta Controls will display its M-PACT 3000 Pure Air Compression Technology for IR missile seeker cooling, which is in production now for the US Navy for the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile system, and has been selected by Lockheed Martin for the Joint Air-to-Ground Missile system. This proven technology increases seeker efficiency and reliability, enabling fire and forget precision in clear and adverse weather.
Marotta will also have its M-PACT 6000 Pure Air Compression Technology for weapon ejection and release on display. In production now for the Small Diameter Bomb program as well as the P-8A Poseidon, the M-PACT 6000 provides the much needed rechargeable pneumatic power source for weapon separation from next-generation single or multi-carriage bomb racks, aircraft wing pylons, or weapons bays. M-PACT eliminates pyrotechnic charges, enables higher ejection velocities, and provides consistent shot-to-shot ejection profiles.
Marotta is also highlighting its Clean Cut Pneumatic Guillotine, the first pneumatic guillotine to replace pyrotechnics in a military application. In production now for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, the pneumatic guillotine is designed to sever a bar or cable of a device in tow in milliseconds. Complete with depot-replaceable anvil and blade, Clean Cut Pneumatic Guillotine is ideal for surveillance tows or in-flight refueling hose and drogue applications.
Also showcased is Marotta’s M-CONTROL family of DC Brushless Digital Controllers for use in critical military applications, featuring the latest temperature and pressure controls as well as high voltage motor drives and closed loop servo techniques. These rugged systems are chosen for their high output power capabilities in a compact lightweight package. M-CONTROL is in production now for the P-8A Poseidon, as well as each of the three variants of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
Marotta Controls’ proven, reliable Space Flight Motion and Flow Controls, including hydraulic and pneumatic valves, regulators, relief valves and pilot operated controls for mission critical systems will also be on display. These components control corrosive and challenging fluids, and have been proven in a variety of applications including main fuel tank pressurization, reaction/attitude control and proportional flow control. These reliable components are in production now for the Falcon 1 & 9, H2B and a variety of international programs.
