SYSPRO ERP Choice of Clinical Packaging Start-Up
COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SYSPRO, a global, independent developer of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, today announced that Sherpa Clinical Packaging, a new start-up based in San Diego, Calif., has selected SYSPRO ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) software for financial, manufacturing and materials management. Based in San Diego, Calif., Sherpa provides Clinical Trial Material management services, including packaging, labeling, distribution and returns for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and dietary supplement companies.
A privately-held company, Sherpa selected SYSPRO ERP software after conducting a search for an affordable, scalable software solution to support lean manufacturing practices in a CGMP manufacturing environment. (Current Good Manufacturing Practices is the name given to quality systems used by U.S. Food & Drug Administration regulated product manufacturers to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.) Sherpa President Mark Paiz states that the company opted for SYSPRO based on affordability, system scalability and ability to facilitate certain regulatory requirements.
According to Paiz, Sherpa is looking to SYSPRO ERP software to control all company functions, including finance/accounting, purchasing, manufacturing (shop floor control), inventory management, lot traceability and distribution.
