Dynamic Aviation’s Aerial Spray Team Prepares for Hurricane Season
BRIDGEWATER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As hurricane season approaches and government agencies and emergency response organizations ready for possible response needs, Dynamic Aviation, a leading provider of aerial insect control and innovative aviation solutions to government and commercial organizations worldwide, is also preparing its fleet of aircraft equipped with specialized application systems to be mission-ready to support customer needs. The company specializes in providing rapid response to local, state and federal government customers to mitigate mosquito population surges in the aftermath of major storms that involve heavy rains.
“We have a specialized team that has supported a variety of government customers with mosquito control challenges for more than 40 years.”
“Our goal is to help our customers overcome threats to public health in a quick, thorough and cost-effective manner that produces superior efficacy,” said Michael Stoltzfus, president and CEO of Dynamic Aviation. “We have a specialized team that has supported a variety of government customers with mosquito control challenges for more than 40 years.”
Dynamic Aviation is prepared to respond to a variety of public health emergencies, including the need to control adult mosquito populations, which has been identified as the main cause of the spread of the deadly West Nile Virus, Eastern equine encephalitis and St. Louis encephalitis. Each of the company’s twin-turbine aircraft dedicated to aerial spray operations is uniquely qualified to fly over heavily congested areas, and the fleet is capable of effectively treating more than 300,000 acres in a single night. The company and its partner, Clarke Mosquito Control, have more than 60 contracts established nationwide with mosquito control organizations.
The Dynamic Aviation aerial aviation team has been treating large areas for pests such as gypsy moths and mosquitoes since 1967. During the past six years, the team has sprayed more than five million acres across the nation. In 2005, the company actively supported government-funded relief efforts after hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The team also sprayed more than three million acres in Texas in 2008 following hurricanes Dolly and Ike.
