DUBAI, UAE, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
One hundred years of Venetian Seaplane tradition has been officially re-ignited in the heart of Venice. On June 24, 2011, the Seawings Seaplane Tour of Venice took flight, taking passengers on a Venetian tour with a difference.
The privileged passengers of that first flight were treated to an experience of a lifetime as they were picked up in style at San Marco square by boat, transported to the glistening shores of San Clemente Island and then taken over the Venetian lagoon by seaplane.
Jet Ops Europe Ltd Director, Stuart Wheeler was glad to see his vision of launching guided aerial tours in Venice come to fruition. "We are proud to be a part of this historic moment. To be part of the first commercial seaplane flight in Venice in a hundred years is a true privilege".
Guests on the flight were delighted with the amazing experience of seeing Venice in a completely new and unique perspective. "The whole experience is like a dream right down to the refreshing bellinis they served us after the flight!" one guest said, "the tour beautifully showcases the Venetian landscape and the boat ride and palace hotel are like from a movie".
Others were impressed with the ease of getting through the formalities of checking in and the friendliness and informative nature of the staff. "The whole tour was a delight. The take off was so delicate and the landing was like a caress on the water. A truly inspired experience!"
Providing unparallel views of the sparkling Venetian lagoon and helping visitors gain a unique perspective of Venice's rich history and heritage, Seawings Venice by seaplane promises to be the best way to see this world famous destination.
