Teradyne Celebrates Major Milestone; Ships 1000th Magnum Test System
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE:TER), announced the milestone shipment of its 1000thMagnum test system to Atmel® Corporation (NASDAQ: ATML), a leader in microcontroller and touch solutions.

The milestone system is a 512 pin Magnum PV, and is part of a large system order from Atmel. The majority of this multi-system order has shipped with the remaining systems scheduled for delivery at the end of Q3, 2011. Atmel will utilize these systems at wafer sort for Flash, microcontroller and touch solution testing. Atmel, who also received the first Magnum production system shipped, is a long-term customer of Teradyne, and Nextest System Corporation, where Magnum was first introduced in 2004. Currently, Atmel has over 200 Magnums installed worldwide.
