Dépèche transmise le 11 juillet 2011 par Business Wire
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TESCAN, a leading manufacturer of scientific instrumentation is celebrating its 20th year anniversary this month. Established in 1991, with the corporate headquarters located in Brno, Czech Republic, TESCAN was founded by five members of the former company TESLA.
“This is not only a celebration for TESCAN, it is acknowledgement of the Czech Republic’s contribution to the advancement of charge particle solutions”
The Czech Republic has a long and rich history in electron microscopy, as the first commercially available Czechoslovak electron microscope was developed and completed in 1951. This instrument was exhibited at the International Trade Fair in Prague. The optical system of the microscope was formed of an electron gun, condenser, objective and projective lenses. The accelerating voltage was 50 kV, the resolution as little as 2 nm.
Continuing this tradition of innovation and excellence, TESCAN offers unique and state of the art electron microscopy and focused ion beam solutions to the international research community.
“This is not only a celebration for TESCAN, it is acknowledgement of the Czech Republic’s contribution to the advancement of charge particle solutions” said Jaroslav Klima, CEO and founding member of TESCAN. “I commend my fellow Czech scientists and researchers who have also contributed to the advancement of this technology”
