US Airways Names New Executives
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Airways (NYSE: LCC) today announced the appointment of Paul Galleberg to the position of vice president, legal affairs, and John McDonald to the position of vice president, corporate communications. Both officer appointments replace open positions and have been approved by the airline’s Board of Directors.

Galleberg oversees US Airways’ corporate and business legal work, including securities transactions and filings, financing and business and commercial transactions, and support of the Board of Directors’ Audit and Finance Committees.
After earning his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, Galleberg spent 14 years at Latham & Watkins, followed by six years at Infonet Services Corporation, where he held the position of senior vice president, chief legal officer and secretary. Galleberg later served as general counsel and chief operating officer at iCrete, and most recently was general counsel and chief operating officer and principal at Berylian Capital.
Galleberg reports to Executive Vice President, Corporate and Government Affairs, Steve Johnson and is based at the airline’s corporate headquarters in Tempe, Ariz.

John McDonald – Vice President, Corporate Communications
McDonald will lead the airline’s internal and external communications as well as its social media initiatives. He joins US Airways from United, where he served as director, operations and hub communications. McDonald’s vast experience in communications spans 30 years, and includes 11 years with Trans World Airlines as director, media relations, and nine years with General Motors in a variety of corporate communications roles.
McDonald earned his Bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in advertising, from Central Michigan University. He will report to Executive Vice President, People, Communications and Public Affairs, Elise Eberwein and will be based at US Airways’ corporate headquarters.
