Survitec Group Awarded Significant German Air Force Contract

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Survitec Group Limited (Survitec), world-wide manufacturers and distributors for the marine, defence and aerospace survival technology industries, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the German Air Force to provide an aircrew ensemble providing cold water immersion protection, thermal insulation and protection from fire/flame exposure. The new ensemble will be introduced across all of German Air Force flying platforms. The contract has been awarded by BWB (Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung), the procurement agency for the German Air Force.

The multi million Euro contract, for around 2000 systems, will be delivered over a 3 year period with the first systems being delivered by the end of this year.

The aircrew ensemble system is unique in providing an integrated approach including functional underwear, a thermal protection garment and immersion suit to optimise pilot protection and performance. The suits will be supplied and manufactured by Survitec through DSB and will be supported by German subcontracting partners.
