AECOM announces key appointment of Michael Della Rocca as North America chief executive

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AECOM Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that Michael Della Rocca will assume the role of North America chief executive, effective Oct. 1, 2011. In this position, Della Rocca will lead AECOM's operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Della Rocca, whose distinguished career as an industry executive and leader spans more than 30 years, joined AECOM this past July. Prior to this, he was president and managing director of Halcrow's Americas region and a member of its group board. Before his tenure at Halcrow, he was president, chief operating officer and a board member of STV Group Inc. His career also includes leadership roles with Washington Group International, where he was chairman and CEO of Washington Infrastructure Services Inc., and Parsons Brinckerhoff, where he was chairman of Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas Inc.

Della Rocca is a licensed professional engineer in New York and New Jersey, and has personally directed the successful execution of many large-scale planning, design and construction management projects in the infrastructure and telecommunications markets.
