Amadeus Consulting To Launch Research Phase for the Transportation Research Board Project
BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amadeus Consulting, a custom software development company, is teaming up with aviation experts to begin the research phase of the National Academy of Science's Transportation Research Board (TRB) project; an initiative that aims to help airports create a collaborative environment between airport operations and maintenance departments. Amadeus Consulting is involved in four other TRB projects; three are currently underway.
“Amadeus Consulting brings technology, project management, leadership and aviation industry knowledge to the team, and will serve as a key player during the research phase of this project”
Amadeus Consulting's own Steve Loper was appointed to the team to help identify and meet the changing needs of the aviation industry. The team of experts is comprised of individuals with the wide variety of talents and expertise needed to conduct the necessary research. Loper is the senior quality engineer at Amadeus Consulting, and has occupied many roles there, including chief technology officer. His areas of expertise lie in database architecture and developing technical specifications for many industries, including airports. His goal for every project is to guarantee sustainable, quality processes that are continuously improved to maximize effectiveness.
"Amadeus Consulting brings technology, project management, leadership and aviation industry knowledge to the team, and will serve as a key player during the research phase of this project," said Marci Greenberger, program manager for the Airport Cooperative Research Program.
To kick off the research process, the team has identified a number of interrelated forces that contribute to the changing environment at airports. Some of these forces include flattened organizational structures, communication barriers, increased technology and funding challenges. The team also looked at specific departmental challenges between operations and maintenance. Together, they will spend a year researching and planning project details including reviewing relevant literature and developing and executing a data-collection plan. In addition, the research team plans to examine current case studies, identify commonalities between departments and finally, deliver a guidance manual with its research findings.
