“As a small business exporter and Chair of the President’s Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration (PECSEA), Magno International is pleased to facilitate the exchange of ideas on a topic that is both complex and challenging but also necessary in bringing regulatory relief to the exporting community,” said Pedraza. “I remain confident that with the support of the Administration and continued collaboration with members of Congress, the reform initiative will succeed in delivering a more efficient and transparent control environment that will further our Nation’s long-term security and global competitiveness efforts.”
The President’s Export Council (PEC) serves as the principal business committee advising the Administration on international trade issues, including government policies and programs that affect U.S. trade performance and the PECSEA, a subcommittee of the PEC, provides private sector input and advice to the Administration in its effort to strengthen national security by reforming the U.S. export control system.
A limited number of seats will be available for the public sessions on both days. Reservations are not accepted. To the extent time permits, members of the public may present oral statements to the PECSEA. Written statements may be submitted at any time before or after the meeting. However, to facilitate distribution of public presentation materials to PECSEA members, the PECSEA suggests that public presentation materials or comments be forwarded before the meeting to Ms. Yvette Springer at [email protected].
The event is open to all members of the media. To arrange and confirm one-on-one phone interviews, please contact Laina Kawass via [email protected] or 305.234.3846 or Jesus Lovo at [email protected] or 305.986.2085.
