Dépèche transmise le 22 septembre 2011 par Business Wire
CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCRA, a technology development leader in applied research and commercialization, announced today that CT Core Technologies, Inc. has joined its PDES, Inc. program.
“CT Core Technologies is excited to be part of the PDES consortium as it aligns with CT’s roadmap for meeting long term data retention. It is a welcomed opportunity to be part of a team that is setting industry standards”
SCRA has served as the PDES, Inc. host contractor since the consortium was founded in 1988 and the program is now an international, member-supported consortium that accelerates the development and implementation of standards to support model-based engineering, manufacturing and sustainment.
“CT Core Technologies is excited to be part of the PDES consortium as it aligns with CT’s roadmap for meeting long term data retention. It is a welcomed opportunity to be part of a team that is setting industry standards,” states Gauthier Wahu, CTO of CT CoreTechnologie.
CT Core Technologies is the leading global provider of 3D CAD data conversion software. Its mission is to optimize the multi CAD environment interoperability in the value-added design chain and to develop customized solutions for the product lifecycle management (PLM) integration and process automation. The 3D_Evolution product-line comes with the most innovative CAD translation technology available on the market today. CT’s libraries for the integration in OEM-software are deployed in many well known CAX-solutions, with successful integrations in the computer-aided-engineering space.
The development of manufacturing standards that are widely accepted, such as ISO Standards, has real-world implications for a number of industries. Manufacturing standards allow lean manufacturing practices to be utilized for higher production efficiencies and lower manufacturing costs- a goal for all manufacturing companies.
PDES, Inc. is has a tradition of successfully executing applied R&D collaboration efforts. Testing of implementations and technical data exchange using the ISO 10303 Standard, commonly called STEP, is an integral part of the consortium. This consortium has improved standard development processes so it takes one to two years to create an international standard instead of the traditional five to nine years. The program also launched a project to develop a Model-Based Design standard that combines widely used design standards.
“SCRA’s PDES, Inc. program is one our longest running initiatives that has brought impressive results to industry,” said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. “We are delighted to announce the addition of CT Core Technologies. The talent and expertise of this new partner will only strengthen this program that has already helped to increase standards development and improve industry manufacturing efficiency.”
