Dépèche transmise le 12 septembre 2011 par Business Wire
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sparton Corporation (NYSE: SPA) announces the launch of the websites www.thedigitalcompass.com and www.thehydrophone.com, on-line gateways devoted to Sparton’s proprietary line of products for use in the Navigation and Exploration end markets.
“The launch of our new website is an integral part of providing fast and easy access to our products”
“The website offers our customers the ability to further research the technologically advanced navigation and acoustic sensors Sparton has recently developed,” commented Jim Lackemacher, Vice President & General Manager of Sparton’s Defense & Security Systems. “Each product’s features, applications, and specifications are available on-line. Our customers are provided with the ability to purchase the products through the website as well.”
Sparton launched its new gyro-enhanced navigation sensor, the GEDC-6, and its new PHOD-1 hydrophone at AUSVI’s Unmanned Systems North America symposium on August 16, 2011 in Washington, D.C.
“The launch of our new website is an integral part of providing fast and easy access to our products,” said Cary Wood, President & CEO, Sparton. “After a successful showing at the AUVSI symposium, we anticipate our products will be designed into a number of defense and commercial related systems, which will result in profitable growth in future quarters.”
Sparton is currently the only company to offer both navigation sensors and a hydrophone for harsh environments that include extreme temperature fluctuations and high shock applications. The navigation products provide an industry leading degree of accuracy due to our proprietary calibration techniques and our advanced AdaptNav™ sensor fusion algorithms that deliver consistently reliable headings in a wide variety of applications and environments. The new PHOD-1 hydrophone is an excellent solution for underwater applications requiring a small, sensitive, rugged, omnidirectional, broadband acoustic sensor.
