Aldec Presents ‘FPGA Level In-Hardware Verification for DO-254 Compliance’ at the 30th Annual DASC in Washington

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aldec joins Boeing, Mentor Graphics, Microsemi and other top tier exhibitors at The 30th Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC). DASC runs October 16-20, 2011 in Seattle, Washington, and provides a forum for the exchange of new knowledge in digital avionics in the fields of commercial, military, and general aviation and space applications. This year’s conference theme is Closing the Generation Gap: Increasing capability for flight operations among legacy, modern and uninhabited aircraft.
The conference will showcase leading research in the form of technical papers and presentations. Taking part in the conference’s track on Avionics Design, Louie De Luna, Aldec DO-254 Program Manager, will present ‘FPGA Level In-Hardware Verification for DO-254 Compliance.’ FPGA Level In-Hardware Verification is currently enforced by the FAA as a means of compliance and guidance for the design assurance of complex electronic hardware such as FPGAs, PLDs and ASICs in airborne systems. This technical presentation points out the most significant challenges that can be encountered during the hardware verification process of FPGA designs under DO-254 guidelines, and proposes a verification methodology that replays RTL simulation during hardware testing at full speed utilizing the same simulation testbench as test vectors.
