Dépèche transmise le 28 octobre 2011 par Business Wire
MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Great Place to Work® Institute today announced that FedEx Express, an operating company of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has been named as one of the top five global companies to work for in its inaugural ranking of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces. FedEx was selected for the recognition from among the 350 multinational companies in 45 countries that were included in Great Place to Work lists from around the world in 2010 and 2011.
“FedEx Express is honored to be recognized as a top company to work for on this first-of-its-kind global ranking”
“FedEx Express is honored to be recognized as a top company to work for on this first-of-its-kind global ranking,” said David J. Bronczek, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Express. “Throughout our history and global expansion, we have remained firmly committed to fostering a strong culture that emphasizes the connection between engaged, satisfied team members and the high-quality service for which FedEx is known. This award affirms the success of this approach, and it’s thanks to our thousands of team members around the world that we can deliver on this promise every day.”
To qualify for the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces List, companies must appear on at least five national Great Place to Work lists and have at least 5,000 employees worldwide. The selection process that assessed qualified companies weighed heavily on responses to the Great Place to Work® Trust Index®, an employee survey that measures level of trust within an organization, and the Great Place to Work® Culture Audit©, a management questionnaire that analyzes a company’s HR practices and policies.
FedEx Express employs more than 150,000 team members globally, with nearly a third based outside of the U.S. In 2011, the company was included in 13 national Great Place to Work lists, including those in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Central America, Chile, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. FedEx was also named to the Great Place to Work Institute Best Companies to Work For Hall of Fame in 2005.
FedEx has long implemented a number of policies and programs that support its strong employee culture, while allowing each region and country in which FedEx operates the autonomy to tailor its workplace environment to best fit its local workforce.
