ESTERO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flightdocs, Inc. of Estero Florida, a global provider of aircraft maintenance tracking software and services announced today the release of the first ever aircraft maintenance tracking application for the iPad. The Flightdocs Mobile Information Center™ for iPad allows all flight operations to access and report aircraft maintenance information in real-time even while an aircraft is in-flight.
“By integrating the use of the iPad into Flightdocs, our operators will see an immediate reduction in their workload, improved operational efficiency and lower operating costs. The in-flight squawk capabilities could save our operators thousands of dollars per incident in troubleshooting alone.”
With The Mobile Information Center™ for iPad flight crews can now generate squawks while in-flight, as they are happening, allowing maintenance to start immediate action to troubleshoot the problem, order parts and or services before the aircraft even lands. Not only will this application improve dispatch reliability it also eliminates paper maintenance records from the flight deck by providing Due Lists, routine aircraft times reporting and post-flight discrepancy reporting all electronically. Flightdocs Mobile is the perfect addition to on board Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) recently approved by the FAA.
Mobile Information Center™ also gives pilots, maintenance personnel and administrators real-time access to aircraft maintenance records without printing piles of paper. Current Due Lists, Aircraft Time Reporting, Discrepancies, AD’s, SB’s and access to Customer Service are all just a touch away.
Rick Heine, President of Flightdocs said “By integrating the use of the iPad into Flightdocs, our operators will see an immediate reduction in their workload, improved operational efficiency and lower operating costs. The in-flight squawk capabilities could save our operators thousands of dollars per incident in troubleshooting alone.” Heine added, “The Mobile Information Center™ is the first and only aircraft maintenance tracking application available for the iPad and this reinforces and proves our commitment to providing the fastest, easiest to use and most powerful aircraft maintenance tracking system in the world. We have no intention of stopping here, this is just the beginning and our customers should continue to expect we will continue to deliver, as we have in the past, many more innovative products for many years to come.”
The Mobile Information Center™ for iPad is available at the Apple App Store at no cost to Flightdocs Customers.
