PIRTEK Bucks the Franchise Business Trend
Dépèche transmise le 4 octobre 2011 par Business Wire
ROCKLEDGE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Wall Street Journal reported on September 1, 2011 that many franchises were struggling in its story titled "Current Conditions, Outlook Dim for Franchises" which went on to say, "America’s franchises are singing the blues, suggests a study released Thursday by the International Franchise Association. Business is currently lackluster and unlikely to improve much going forward, according to an August survey of 134 executives representing both U.S. franchisers and franchisees. What’s more, they say conditions today are significantly worse than they were just a few months ago."
“Credit must go to our franchise owners and their team members for their outstanding results”
“Fortunately, for PIRTEK franchise owners, they have been able to buck this trend,” says Gwyn O’Kane, Vice President of Franchise Development. “One of our franchise owners said it best back in 2009 during our annual franchise owner’s conference when he stood up and announced, ‘l will not participate in any recession.’ This became the mantra of a lot of the other PIRTEK owners.”
Across the US, PIRTEK franchise center sales have been on the rise steadily throughout 2011. “For August, many of our locations reported their best month ever and they have been basically growing for the last 2 years. Comparing monthly sales versus the same month last year, we have seen over a 15% growth in sales per month during the last year and almost 50% over the last two years,” says O’Kane “PIRTEK has shown to be a stellar performer even when the economy remains slow and while other franchise systems are reporting little to no growth in sales.
"Credit must go to our franchise owners and their team members for their outstanding results,” says O’Kane. “When construction started slowing in 2009, our owners worked hard to diversify their businesses securing customers involved in manufacturing, marine, transportation, mining, aviation and the military to name a few. Many customers stopped buying new machinery and instead repaired their existing equipment. The PIRTEK system has been proven around the world for over 30 years.”
Rockledge, Florida-based PIRTEK is the world’s leading service provider of ETA 1 Hour On-Site Hose Replacement. PIRTEK offers a 24 hour, 7 day service that serves almost every facet of industry including construction, manufacturing, transportation, agriculture and engineering among others across the United States. When an equipment breakdown occurs, it often results in costly delays in time and labor before the proper replacement hose is located and installed but PIRTEK vans carry the component parts necessary to manufacture hose assemblies on site. Hose and fittings can also be purchased over-the-counter at PIRTEK’s national network of service centers that serve as home bases to its mobile fleet. There are 40 PIRTEK service centers nationwide and over 350 worldwide. PIRTEK is looking for a few highly motivated people to open new PIRTEK Centers in certain areas.
