LONDON, October 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Throughout October, amateur golfers can tackle two of Thailand's most prestigious golf courses in guaranteed tropical sunshine
The Eastern Seaboard World Amateur Golf Team Trophy (ESWAGTT) offers top amateur golfers the chance to play at two of Thailand's premier golf courses; tackling professional standard holes in spectacular countryside settings. According to DialAFlight, one of the UK's leading travel operators, there's still time to fly to Thailand [http://www.dialaflight.com/flights/asia/thailand ] and participate in the tournament- however you must hurry as its set to finish on the 29th October 2011.
Interest in Golf has spread throughout the Kingdom, as more and more golf courses [http://golf.supertravel.co.uk ] are developed in order to attract more tourists to the country. Tournaments, like the ESWAGTT, help promote Thailand's world-class golf courses.
However they also give amateur golfers the chance to play professional standard holes at comparatively lower prices than equivalent professional courses in Europe or the U.S for example.
Situated along the eastern seaboard, the Eastern Star Country Club [http://www.golfasian.com/golf-courses/thailand-golf-courses/pattaya/eastern-star-country-club ] and the Emerald Golf Club hosts amateur golfers from all over the world; giving players the chance to earn their own 'green jacket' whilst participating in doubles tournaments. There are both men's and women's events, junior events and special mixed events too. Trophies and prizes are awarded for every round played, so there's plenty to play for during the tournament.
Both courses are located in the region of Ban Chang, Eastern Thailand, and are easily accessible from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. To enter the tournament a fee is required, however most tour packages include the entry fee in the price of their holiday packages. Other perks include hotel accommodation, a personal caddie, access to driving ranges, tickets to dining events, and free airport transfers.
Commenting on the tournament, a spokesperson for DialAFlight said today "Thailand is slowly emerging as a golfing haven for ardent enthusiasts, offering world-class courses in world-class settings. The ESWAGTT tournament gives amateurs a real professional challenge, and even though the tournament is at its half-way point, there are still plenty of flights available to Thailand to gain entry into the tournament."
"October is the perfect time of year to visit the region. It's not swelteringly hot, like in the summer months, and the courses look nicely verdant too."
If you've ever dreamt of putting on world-class greens, driving through luscious fairways to the dramatic backdrops of outstanding natural beauty, then here's your chance. We'll see you on the 19th Hole (clubhouse bar).
