MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Visual Systems Group Inc. (VSGi) announced today that it has won the SAVES Contract from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide video solutions worth $16MM over 5 years. As the contract awardee, VSGi will serve as the sole provider of video conferencing and telepresence equipment for the FAA. The contract includes telepresence and audio visual solutions; hardware, software, components, parts and accessories, warranties, installations, training, and additional professional services.
“We are excited to grow our long standing partnership, and look forward to helping the FAA meet its strategic objectives for years to come.”
Under the contract, VSGi will deliver solutions from Polycom and Cisco including installation and maintenance support services. Leveraging technology from these manufacturers, the contract team will deliver services designed to standardize the FAA’s technology platform and ensure equipment compatibility.
The solutions provided on this contract support the FAA’s goal to consolidate and standardize the conferencing solutions and services to reduce travel costs, promote collaboration, increase productivity and facilitate access to employees in remote locations.
“With approximately 500 locations worldwide, the FAA understands the advantages of investing in video infrastructure,” said Donald K. Jones, Chief Executive Officer of VSGi. “We are excited to grow our long standing partnership, and look forward to helping the FAA meet its strategic objectives for years to come.”
