AOC 2011: AAI Test & Training Introduces Multi-Spectral Test Sets

HUNT VALLEY, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AAI Test & Training, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, introduced its new Multi-Spectral Test Sets (MSTS) today at the opening of the 48th Annual Association of Old Crows (AOC) International Symposium and Convention. The MSTS are designed to test ultraviolet and infrared missile warning systems, including hostile fire indication, as well as radar and laser warning systems, allowing operators to confidently validate the operational status of installed electronic combat systems. Designed specifically for the military environment, the MSTS offer ruggedized construction, light weight and a small deployment footprint.

Available for both domestic and international customers, the MSTS can be programmed for confidence testing aboard any airborne, ground-based or maritime vehicle. In addition, the Multi-Spectral Test Sets’ design addresses the needs of both existing and fielded systems, as well as anticipated future systems, providing a forward-reaching capability to maximize value.

The MSTS product line includes a Data Bus Recorder/Analyzer, Radio Frequency Handheld Transmitter and Electro-Optic/Infrared/Laser Handheld Transmitter. Each transmitter can be utilized independently, or integrated to create a complete multi-spectral test capability. User-friendly software allows test scenarios to be built, pre-programmed and executed easily. With setup times of five minutes or less, technicians can conduct complete aircraft pre-flight checks quickly and reliably. Go/no-go test results are automatically displayed, and can be recorded along with full bus traffic for in-depth evaluation.
