Linear Technology Lead (Pb)-Based Parts Available from Arrow Electronics

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW) has agreed to carry all quantities of lead (Pb)-based products from Linear Technology Corporation. This ensures efficient delivery of Linear products to customers worldwide who require a lead (Pb)-based solder option and complements Linear’s broad line of lead-free products.

Through the agreement, Arrow will fulfill orders of any size for Linear Technology lead-based products from inventories in its Reno, Nev., warehouse. This global service will enable customers worldwide to minimize redesign and production costs and streamline the ordering process.
Linear Technology’s leaded parts are used for the production of a wide range of aerospace, defense, medical and critical industrial products and technologies. They are noted for their reliability and durability.
Mike Grossman, worldwide distribution manager for Linear Technology, said, “Despite the global move toward lead-free electronic assemblies, a large number of designs in the military, industrial and medical markets require the continued supply of components with lead-based finishes in manageable quantities and lead times.
