Nextant Aerospace to Display the 400XT at the Dubai Airshow
Dépèche transmise le 11 novembre 2011 par Business Wire
CLEVELAND and DUBAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nextant Aerospace, maker of the 400XT, the world’s first completely remanufactured business jet, today announced that it will be displaying the 400XT at the biennial Dubai Airshow, one of the aviation industry’s leading global showcases. The 12th edition of the show will be held November 13-17, 2011, at the Dubai Airport Expo. The 400XT may be seen on display at the Dubai Air Show’s Static Park.
“We are proud to exhibit the new Nextant 400XT at the Dubai Airshow, one of the world’s premier aviation showcases”
This is the 400XT’s first appearance at the Dubai Airshow, which received full Federal Aviation Administration certification this year after a three-year development and flight testing process. The 400XT, which saw its first deliveries last month, has a range of 3,713 km (2,005 nautical miles) with four passengers and NBAA IFR Reserves, enabling flights originating in the Middle East to reach major destinations in Europe, Russia and Asia.
“We are proud to exhibit the new Nextant 400XT at the Dubai Airshow, one of the world’s premier aviation showcases,” said Jay Heublein, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Nextant Aerospace. “The 400XT, with its exceptional range, good speed and superior accommodations, is a perfect fit for the Middle Eastern market, providing luxurious travel at about half the cost of competing new models. The 400XT’s combination of performance, comfort and value will make it among the most desirable aircraft in this market.”
The Nextant 400XT on display at the Dubai Airshow will contain an optional new interior configuration designed to maximize the available space in the cabin. It includes a 1.5 meter (60-inch) divan with four-place club seating that offers an additional 0.3 meter (one foot) of leg room compared to the standard design. The 400XT is the only aircraft in the light-jet category to offer such a layout.
Nextant also recently announced its first international service center at Beechcraft Augsburg, in Germany, accessible from many Middle Eastern departure points. The new facility brings to 10 the 400XT’s service centers globally.
The 400XT process employs a remanufactured airframe from the Beechjet 400A/XP aircraft, enhanced with new, state-of-the-art technology including the Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engine, the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21™ integrated avionics suite, advanced electronics and completely rebuilt interiors. The remanufacturing process takes all life-limited components to zero-time status, either through replacement or complete overhaul, which effectively makes the 400XT a new plane in all material aspects even before the addition of advanced technology. The 400XT is considered to be a new type in Aircraft Bluebook. Further options include additional avionics features and cabin entertainment including high speed wireless internet.
Other performance improvements include a cruising speed of 740 km per hour (460 miles per hour); fuel efficiency improvements of 25-30 percent, depending on the length of the flight segment and noise compliance that exceeds Stage IV requirements. A number of orders have been received, including a 40-plane order from Flight Options LLC, the second-largest company in the private jet travel business.
