Dépèche transmise le 8 novembre 2011 par Business Wire
STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
SAS Group (STO:SAS)(OSE:SASNOK):
- SAS Group carried 2.6 million passengers in October, up 96 700 (3,9%).
- SAS Group's traffic (RPK) increased by 2.6% during October and capacity (ASK) increased 3.3% vs same period last year.
- The passenger load factor decreased by 0.5 p.u. in October to 75%, but was higher than in September 2011.
Group market trends, RASK and yield development Traffic growth continued to be stable during October and the load factor was maintained at a very high level. During September 2011, currency adjusted yield was down by 4% versus previous year and RASK was down 6.2%. For October 2011, (change vs last year), underlying currency adjusted RASK and yield continue to be under pressure.
The response to market campaigns has been strong and forward booking levels are still above last year’s level, but premium bookings are weaker. Overall, the market growth continues to be good, but remains unpredictable due to added capacity in certain markets, risk in the global economy and risk of continued high jet fuel prices. This is also adding uncertainty to the yield and RASK outlook going forward.
Scandinavian Airlines is continuously improving its customer offering, that is also reflected in a clearly improved customer satisfaction that is the highest in eleven years.
