US Airways Connects Customers in the East and West with New Flights

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Airways (NYSE:LCC) today announced the addition of two new routes from New York City and North Carolina. Beginning March 10, 2012, customers on the East Coast can take advantage of US Airways’ first-ever flight beyond the 1,500 mile limit set by the perimeter rule at New York’s LaGuardia Airport with Saturday service to the airline’s Phoenix hub. Additionally, starting March 4, 2012 customers in Salt Lake City will have access to daily year-round service to US Airways’ largest hub in Charlotte, N.C. US Airways will operate daily to Salt Lake City with 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft and the Phoenix-LaGuardia route will be operated with 124-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.

With the new service from Salt Lake City to the airline’s hub in Charlotte, N.C., US Airways customers in the West will have convenient, one-stop access to more than 90 destinations.
