Dépèche transmise le 21 mars 2012 par Business Wire
ANNAPOLIS, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARINC Managed Services (AMS), the world’s leading provider of managed IT services and support for airports and airport facilities, announced today that it has been awarded a new two year base with one year option contract to support parking revenue control systems (PRCS) and related technology at Washington Dulles International Airport.
“We’re there to ensure reliable and efficient airport operations, at every touch-point for travelers inside and outside the airport.”
Awarded in a competitive bidding process, the contract continues five years of support by AMS for Dulles and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), which operates Dulles and Reagan National airports.
Under the new agreement, AMS will provide 24-hour hardware support and preventive maintenance for the airport’s public lots, garages, and employee parking areas serving more than 20 million people a year.
The AMS staff will deliver comprehensive 24x7 hardware support and scheduled preventative maintenance for the Dulles hourly and economy lots, two daily parking garages, and four employee lots—a total of more than 28,000 parking spaces. AMS is also responsible for advanced parking lane technology, including the subsystems for fixed and mobile license plate recognition (LPR), automatic vehicle identification (AVI), proximity card readers (PCR), and space-counting system.
“AMS has been supporting the Dulles PRCS systems since 2007, and this success clearly demonstrates our versatility in supporting virtually any aspect of airport operations, from the tarmac to the parking garage,” said Christopher Forrest, Managing Director at ARINC Managed Services. “We’re there to ensure reliable and efficient airport operations, at every touch-point for travelers inside and outside the airport.”
