ARINC Planning to Expand Business in Vietnam with Major Airport Construction Projects
SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARINC plans to expand its business and assist Vietnam in modernizing its airports was revealed during a recent trade mission to Vietnam organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
“Vietnam’s aviation industry is growing very significantly, and there are many opportunities for American companies like ARINC to be part of this growth in helping to modernize the country’s airports”
ARINC is currently providing and supporting the information technology systems at the International Terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, and is keen to expand its presence in Vietnam. The trade mission introduced ARINC to key industry stakeholders and ministries where many of the discussions focused on Vietnam’s strategy to develop the aviation industry and how companies like ARINC can help contribute.
“Vietnam’s aviation industry is growing very significantly, and there are many opportunities for American companies like ARINC to be part of this growth in helping to modernize the country’s airports,” stated U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam David Shear. “This comes at an opportune time, as we work to conclude the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 21st Century free trade agreement between the U.S., Vietnam and seven other countries.”
ARINC is in the process of bidding for several local projects which are strategic to its business expansion plans. The trade mission was valuable in helping to understand more about the other opportunities and the long term development plans for Vietnam.
“We are very appreciative for Ambassador Shear’s support of our efforts in Vietnam, and excited at the opportunity to enhance passengers’ experiences with Fast Travel and expand our VHF Data Link coverage to help airlines be more operationally efficient,” said Jim L. Martin, ARINC’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific Division. “We look forward to working even closer with the Vietnamese government and the various industry stakeholders to help airlines and airports here achieve even greater successes.”
The other matters that were discussed during the trade mission were ARINC’s intent to expand its Data Link remote ground stations in Vietnam.
