Frontier Airlines to Shift Houston Operations Back to Bush Intercontinental in July

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontier Airlines announced today that, based on strong customer feedback, it will shift its Houston operations from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) back to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) effective July 11, 2012. Frontier will be the only domestic low-cost carrier at Bush Intercontinental, allowing it to bring low fares to Houston’s larger airport.

Frontier customers who have purchased tickets to fly to/from Houston Hobby July 11 and beyond are being automatically rebooked on flights to/from Bush Intercontinental. Frontier will notify passengers who booked at FrontierAirlines.com of the change to their itineraries via email. If the reservation was booked elsewhere, Frontier will notify the customer’s travel agent of the change.

Following are schedules for the service that Frontier will operate after the move:

Denver-Houston (beginning July 11, 2012)

Flights to/from Bush Intercontinental will operate on 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft, featuring onboard Wi-Fi availability and two-by-two leather seats. Five rows of STRETCH seating, offering an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom, and the airline’s new SELECT seating product will be available on every flight.
