Optomec, Inc., the world leader in high-performance additive manufacturing systems, today announced availability of the Aerosol Jet 3MM Wide Nozzle Printhead. The 3MM Wide Nozzle Printhead is the first in a family of new hardware which enables non-contact, room temperature printing of large features in a single pass. The Aerosol Jet Wide Nozzle Printhead is an extension of Optomec’s revolutionary fine-feature printing technology that is used to produce geometries as small as 10 microns. The new 3MM Printhead is instead ideally suited for producing millimeter-scale conductive features (busbars, backplanes), large area thin film coatings, and selective coatings (insulators, cross over circuits, encapsulation). Target applications include the manufacturing of fuel cells, conformal antennae, and Molded Interconnect Devices.
