Polar Air Cargo Worldwide, Inc., a leading provider of global air cargo services, announced today that former DHL Express executive Thomas Murphy has been named Chief Operating Officer for Polar, succeeding Randy Clark. DHL is a 49% stakeholder (with a 25% voting stake) in Polar with Polar’s parent company, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. holding the remaining 51% of the cargo airline (with a 75% voting stake).

Europe Aviation et le Cabinet Monod Piguet Associes ingénieurs conseils viennent de déposer le permis de construire d’un nouveau hangar de 10 000 m2 qui permettra d’accueillir un gros porteur et deux moyens porteurs ou quatre moyens porteurs sur le site de Châteauroux. La livraison, prévue pour fin 2010, conduira à la création de 120 emplois supplémentaires sur le site pour porter les effectifs à 240. La surface totale cumulée sera alors de 14 000 m2.

Europe Aviation and Monod Piguet Associes engineers and planners have just handed in a construction permit for a new 10 000 sqm hangar with a capacity to host one wide body and two narrow body or four narrow body aircraft on the Chateauroux site. The opening is planned for end of 2010 and shall lead to the creation of 120 additional staff, thus bringing the total to 240. The cumulated working surface shall reach 14 000 sqm.
