Anglais Fraport Achieves First Quarter Profit Despite Crisis

Despite the economic and financial crisis, which has considerably depressed world air traffic since the end of 2008, Fraport AG realized a profit for the first quarter of 2009: Unadjusted Group revenue fell by 14.4 percent year-on-year to EUR452 million. However, adjusted for consolidation effects, revenue decline was only 1.5 percent. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) dropped by 13.5 percent below the previous year's level to EUR99.8 million. Group profit reached EUR22.3 million in the first three months of 2009, down 25.4 percent from the previous year's level. The Fraport Group expects to be in the black also for the full year 2009.

Malgré la crise économique et financière qui a considérablement réduit le trafic aérien mondial depuis fin 2008, Fraport AG a réalisé un bénéfice au premier trimestre 2009 : le produit du groupe non ajusté a chuté de 14,4 pour cent en glissement annuel à 452 millions d'euros. Cependant, en valeur ajustée pour les effets de consolidation, le produit n'a baissé que de 1,5 pour cent. L'EBITDA (résultat avant intérêts, impôts, dépréciation et amortissement) a baissé de 13,5 pour cent par rapport au niveau de l'année précédente à 99,8 millions d'euros. Le bénéfice du groupe a atteint 22,3 millions d'euros au premier trimestre 2009, en baisse de 25,4 pour cent par rapport au niveau de l'année précédente. Le groupe Fraport s'attend à réaliser aussi un bénéfice pour l'ensemble de l'année 2009.
