Republic Airways Holdings , today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2009. The Company generated 1,068.2 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 14.7% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 13.3%. Block hours were 66,741 in August 2009, a 9.7% increase from August 2008. Load factor was 78.5% versus 77.5% in August 2008. A total of 1,969,231 passengers were carried during the month, a 10.0% increase from the same month last year.

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions, today announced that it secured orders valued at approximately $2.25 million from Lockheed Martin’s facility in Eagan, Minnesota. The orders were for quantities of GE Fanuc’s VME-7809 VMEbus single board computer and NETernity™ RM921 Ethernet switches for eventual deployment in the Lockheed Martin AN/UYQ-70 C4 (command, control, communications and computer) system. This brings the total orders received by GE Fanuc from Lockheed Martin for the Q-70 program to more than $5 million.

US Airways Group, Inc. today announced August and year-to-date 2009 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 5.5 billion, down 3.9 percent versus August 2008. Capacity was 6.4 billion available seat miles (ASMs), down 3.8 percent versus August 2008. Passenger load factor for the month of August was 85.7 percent, or flat versus August 2008.
